
Job Discription
Develop and write CNC programs using CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360, SolidCAM, GibbsCAM).
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD models to generate accurate machine code.
Set up and calibrate CNC machines, including lathes, mills, and grinders.
Conduct test runs and make necessary adjustments to ensure accuracy.
Verify part dimensions using measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, CMMs).
Ensure manufactured parts meet specifications and tolerances.
Optimize tool paths and machining strategies to reduce cycle time and material waste.
Improve machine utilization and suggest process improvements.
Key Skills
Writing, testing, and modifying CNC code, setting up machines, troubleshooting errors, and collaborating with engineers and machinists to improve production efficiency.
