Job Description
- Create and modify 3D models using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
- Develop efficient toolpaths and generate CNC programs using CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360).
- Set up and calibrate VMC machines, including installing tools, fixtures, and materials.
- Operate VMC machines to produce components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Select appropriate cutting tools and materials for each machining task.
- Perform test runs and make adjustments as necessary to achieve desired results.
- Inspect and measure machined parts using precision instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, CMMs) to ensure they meet design specifications and tolerances.
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to machining processes, machine performance, and tool wear.
