Job Description
- Perform TIG welding on various metals such as stainless steel, aluminum, and other alloys.
- Set up welding equipment, including selecting the appropriate tungsten electrode, filler rod, and shielding gas.
- Maintain welds in accordance with specifications and industry standards.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols to understand welding requirements.
- Measure and mark workpieces to ensure proper alignment and fit-up before welding.
- Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Perform necessary adjustments to welding equipment and techniques to achieve desired results.
- Perform regular maintenance and troubleshooting of welding equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Communicate effectively to report progress, issues, and potential improvements.
