Job Description
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to understand the requirements of the part or component.
- Set up the machine tools for the machining operations.
- Choose the appropriate cutting tools, such as drills, end mills, reamers, or inserts, based on the material and the desired machining operation.
- Turning, milling, drilling, boring, grinding, or threading.
- Input the required tool paths, cutting parameters, and dimensions.
- Precision measuring instruments, such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMMs), to verify the dimensions and tolerances of the machined parts.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on the machine tools, such as cleaning, lubrication, and tool maintenance.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
