Job Description
- Oversee the transportation of goods, whether by land, sea, or air, to ensure timely delivery and cost-effectiveness.
- Manage inventory levels, organize storage facilities, and optimize warehouse operations to ensure efficient use of space and timely fulfillment of orders.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of goods and negotiate favorable terms and contracts.
- Implement inventory control measures to minimize stockouts, reduce excess inventory, and ensure accurate inventory records.
- Ensure all shipments and logistics activities comply with relevant regulations and documentation requirements, such as customs regulations, import/export laws, and safety standards.
- Identify opportunities to reduce logistics costs while maintaining service levels, such as by optimizing transportation routes, consolidating shipments, or renegotiating contracts with suppliers.
- Analyze logistical data and metrics to identify trends, track performance, and make data-driven decisions to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
