Job Description
- Loading the necessary tools and workpieces, securing them in the chuck or collet, and configuring the machine's settings, including speed, feed rate, and tool offsets.
- Monitor the CNC lathe's operation to ensure it produces parts to the required specifications.
- Inspect finished parts to verify their dimensional accuracy and quality.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on the CNC lathe, such as cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn or damaged tooling.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Diagnose and resolve minor machine issues, such as tool breakage, chatter, or deviations in part dimensions.
- Maintain accurate records of production runs, part measurements, tool changes, and any issues encountered during machining.
